In my opinion, the best blog post I have done is the one that I posted on September 12th. I think it is the best on I have done because I go into detail on the character, Anna, and how she acts and feels. I feel like I did a pretty good job on explaining and describing the character traits of her. I also think that I did a good job stating how she shows her emotions and how she acts/feels towards others.

My goals for next trimester’s blog is to make sure I evenly space out reading the book instead of waiting to read a bunch in the end because I could end up liking it, just like I did this trimester. My goal for writing is to not just write until I think I’m done or have just the right amount of sentences. I want to go into detail on everything I write about, not just being mediocre, but above and beyond. One thing I struggled with on my blog this trimester was keeping my blog up to date and reading every week. I overcome the struggle by making a goal and saying I will read a certain amount of pages one night, instead of just telling myself to read. That way, I got it done in time.

One of the biggest things That Kate had said/announced in this book is when she told Anna she didn't want to live anymore. That she was tired of trying and tired of fighting. Even though her mom talked to her about everything, and they were always together, she never told her that fact about her. This was a self to self connection because I also go to my sister first, before my mom and I tell my sister everything. The sad part about this is that her mom doesn't even believe her because she had never talked to Kate about those feelings and she couldn't believe that Kate wouldn't tell her.
At this point, I am at the very end of the book where everything is wrapping up and I can proudly say I loved this book. Eventhough I can never get myself to pick up a book, I actually really enjoyed this one. It kept me on my toes and I think the author did a great job!
One of the characters I have noticed who has changed the most throughout the book is the mom, Sara. In the beginning of this book, they were all a happy family, and everyone helped out equally with Kate's sickness. Farther and farther through Kate's journey of cancer, her mom starts focusing on just the medical issues. She blocked out her other daughter, and payed more attention to Kate and the hospital bills than her job or the rest of the family.
Up to this point, I'm a little more than three fourths of the way done with the book. I don't want to give anything away, so I would recommend reading this. You won't regret it and i swear every page gets better and better.
"In our living room we have a whole shelf devoted to the visual history of our family...There is Kate with hair and Kate all bald; one of Kate as a baby sitting on Jesse's lap; one of my mother holding each of them on the edge of a pool. There are pictures of me, too, but not many. I go from infant to about ten years in one fell swoop.
Maybe it's because i was the third child, and they were sick and tired of keeping a catalog of life. Maybe it's because they forgot."

This quote really stuck out to me as I was reading. I started to think that Anna was feeling a little unloved since Kate had to get all of the medical treatment, but I didn't think it would get this serious. It got me thinking how parents could sometime forget about the other child, unintentionally, if the other one is sick or in need.
I read a lot more this week and it is one of the most inspiring book I have read and it never gets boring. It never bores me.
